When to do Lime Treatment?

organic-lawn-care.jpg

If the pH of your soil is too acidic, we recommend that you have your lawn lime treated sometime between late fall and early spring. This timeframe for treatment ensures that your lawn has time to absorb the lime into the soil before the mid-spring to late-summer months where your grass will need nutrients the most.

There are a few times when you may want to hold off on treatment, though, as it's not recommended to apply lime to your lawn if the ground is soggy, if the grass is still dry, or if there is frost on the ground. Most of these situations, however, are temporary, and you shouldn't have a hard time finding an optimum window for applying lime to your lawn. Washington Tree and Lawn Care know the absolute best times to apply lime to your lawn. Contact us and we will help you set up an appointment for treatment.

Liming a lawn is a simple step that can make a big difference. If you're ready to take your lawn to the next level this spring and summer, adjusting the pH of your soil with lime may be the best way to go.
